Solution provided

DFM-Europe proposed the deployment of the DistanceSmartOne sensor, a smart laser device designed to measure stock levels in real time.

Installed above storage bins or areas, each sensor transmits the distance between itself and the surface of the stock in under 2 seconds. Thanks to this precise data, managers can view stock status at any time from a secure web platform.

The LoRa communication protocol ensures reliable connectivity even in complex industrial environments, with a battery life exceeding 10 years.

Results achieved

Following the deployment of over 200 DistanceSmartOne sensors across two main warehouses, the results were immediate: 

• 90% reduction in manual stock checks
